Hello! Welcome to “Kreuzfahrtjobs.de – All about Jobs on (German) Cruise Ships”

This is my private website about working on cruise ships. I worked on board of Hapag-Lloyd’s MV Europa, according to the Berlitz Cruise Guide the “world’s best rated cruise ship”, from November 2001 until June 2002. It was my first job on a ship, and I traveled halfway around the world (to be exact, a third around), stopping in over twenty-five countries from North America to the Seychelles.

The marvelous impressions of that journey are published here.

Moreover, I give a little outlook how it is to work and live on a German cruise ship. The site is divided into different sections, “reports and background” the first, “answers to the most frequently asked questions” the second and a glossary the third.

The fourth section is about applying for a job on a cruise ship, with an emphasis on applications for MV Europa. You’ll find all the relevant addresses for that particular ship here, plus addresses of international recruiters and links to general information about cruise ships.

Unfortunately, as I work on this site during my free time, I don’t have had the time yet to translate the rest of the page from German into English.

I apologize to all English visitors for not having more information available so far.
